The Concrete Bench

For my first wood working class we decided to go big for our semester long project and build a piece of furniture that combines different design elements that challenged us.

Design Elements:

• Curved cement base that is 36” wide with a slight taper 30” deep and 18” high for optimal sitting

• Wooden fins that can act as a privacy barrier when sitting

• Metal rebar for structural soundness
